     Shenzhen lies at the mouth of the Zhujiang (Pearl) River, and is one of China's major port cities. The city was one of the earliest economic development zones, which supported reform and open policies. 

      Splendid City houses miniatures in full detail of China's historical and scenic spots. Visitors will see all of the most famous pagodas, temples, towers and grottos in miniaturized form as well as the tomb of Huangdi, the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, Ming Tombs, the emperors at prayer for a good harvest at the Temple of Heaven, and the wedding of Emperor Guang Xu. The Window of the World showcases the world's wonders featuring 118 scenic spots from Asia, Europe, America, and Africa. International Street houses examples of European, Asian and Islamic architecture. There are churches, markets, and streets duplicating the different styles of the buildings. Cuisine from France, Italy, Australia, Russia, Japan, Korea and Thailand are available.

      In close proximity to the Shenzhen Safari Park, lies Xilihu Lake. The resort offers a spectacular view of the surrounding hills, lakes, and pine trees. The resort features the Xili Tower, Qiling Hill Pavilion, and a circular revolving restaurant.
